Since Update 1 load time even when splash screen is disabled can take upto 10 seconds.

And if you deactivate your anti-malware and adblock, does-it load faster?

I disabled Kaspersky Internet Security as u suggested and PSP crashed on first attempt to load and when i tried second time it was actually slower loading.

This demonstrates that PSP is sensitive to its operating environment.

Start Process Monitor ( https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysint ... ds/procmon ) before you click PaintShop Pro icon and see what's going on. You will be surprised... how many things is happening while PSP is loading.

So, it carry a heavy load from the past Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 (since 2015) up to today.
I thing it is almost impossible to rewrite such amount of old code..

Ive recently updated my processor to a 12 core from an 8 core and this has fixed all my slow loading issues.
