error opening project

Post by gemini kev »

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a project I've been working on, tried to open it up, it looks as though it's opening but it never appears in timeline, after a min comes a pop up "already in edit". does anyone have any ideas what the issue maybe. thanks, kevin

VS occasionally corrupts a VSP when saving it such that VS can't re-open it, but "already in edit" message is a new one. Suggest that you post your VSP to the forum and others can try opening it.

1. On this forum, use the attachment tab when posting a reply. You may have to zip your attachment or rename it as a .txt file to successfully upload it.
or
2. Use a file sharing site such as Dropbox then post the link on your topic in this forum.

The other thing you might want to consider is that the project is indeed loaded but not appearing on screen because for some reason you have added everything to overlay tracks and they are all located further down the timeline than what you can immediately see on screen. To see if there is anything further along the timeline put you mouse in the timeline, hold down the Ctrl key and roll the mouse wheel backwards. That will diminish the size of the project and show things from further down the timeline.
