Cannot Edit Text from Instant Projects in VS 2020

When inserting some Instant Projects into a project, you cannot delete/remove/edit some of the text on the text layer. When you click on the text the animation popup screen appears and nothing can be done. You need to close Video Studio from Windows Task Manager.

This is only in Video Studio 2020 I've tested the same Instant Projects in VS 2018 on the same PC without any problems at all.

I tested using X10 and was able to change the text
When I click to select some text clips the cursor is on frame 1 which is faded out, if you play the text should appear on screen

Double clicking the clip on the timeline should show the text on the screen.
I was then able to select and edit the text.

The sample seems to have different properties from the other samples.
T-04.VSP works on DVD 720x480.
And T-04.VSP opened on Corel FastFlick 2020
Open it back in the editor and it works I don't know why.
At the end, the title attribute seems to be different from the normal attribute.

Thank you all but nothing you suggested is working. The same instant project works perfectly in vs 2018 regardless the 720x480. I've done a previous project's intro with a similar Instant Project in VS2018, rendered it and used the video clip in my project. But this is not how it should work.
Seems to me that the previous Boris FX problem was also not solved according to the above mentioned thread I took.

Some of the Instant projects comes from previous versions way back but still works in VS 2020.

I'm not a huge fan of templates but I find some of them very useful and time saving when you do not want to spent much time on customized slides etc. Much quicker to customize the template to your taste.

Apologies, I did test the first clips but missed the problem with the last title clip. Although I am sure I was able to close the Fly Animation window
I have just completed a reinstall of 2020 and certainly I do have the same issue as you.
I’ll dig a bit deeper but it does appear to be a corrupt VSP / text clip.

The seems to be an added problem associated with the contents of this folder --- C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Content
The folder is new to 2019 and 2020, It holds the media sample and templates, however the old location is still available.
Even so it is a problem with the actual text clip, I have managed to fix that
Attached is a vsp containing a text clip, drag that clip to the library as a copy
Now open the template T-04
We now have to replace the last text clip with the library copy.
Do not click the clip on the timeline
Drag the library clip to the timelines whilst holding CTRL key and place over the existing text clip, and drop, this will replace the text clip and hopefully play ok
All I have to do now is repair the actual template.

I will report this to Corel

How T-04.VSP opens it in Corel FastFlick 2020 and goes to the editor to use it and

Fixed Attached being a vsp containing text clip. Drag the clip into the library as a copy.
Now open the template T-04. now
You need to replace the last file. Text clip with a copy of the library.
Don't click on clips in the timeline
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging a library clip onto the timeline and drop it over the existing text clip. This will replace the text clip and it will play normally.
Next is File\ Export as template \ Instant project Template \ Register and replace

I had noticed the text being out of alignment but did fix that, at least I thought I had, I had thought the text now played in the middle
I will check my files, maybe I sent the wrong VSP.
I note that the first time you scrubbed the timeline the text was in the middle, maybe the problem with the text is more involved.

Only the text at the end seems to be wrong with T-04.VSP.
All fronts are normal.

I have noticed a problem with the templates from Instant Projects T-01 to T-10
These are Fast Flick templates yet as installed does not show in the FF gallery
The templates are saved here:-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2020\EditingStyle\InstantProject

However as of 2019 Corel have provided another folder that as far as we know will be used for all future versions of Video Studio.
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Content\

Now moving / copying the templates to this folder will allow Fast Flick to use the templates.
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Content\EditingStyle\InstantProject

Although the new location does not fix the text issue seen with T-04
I have managed to create a working T-04 template although a re-install may replace that with the old corrupt version.
Best to save the new template to the VSPTemplate folder although we have 2 of those with 2020

Everything from T-01 to T-10 except 04
Do it.
However, the following phrase appears in some titles, but there is no problem.
The title clip contains motion attributes. On-screen editing will override the settings.
