Upside-down text ??

Post by garybeck »

Anyone have an idea how i can fix this? I have the text attatched to the object path. it is facing the text inward no matter what, which means it's upside down on the bottom. is there any way to make it right side up on the bottom?????? thanks!!
(i'm using PSP9)

First create a dedicated circle to which you can attach the text. Select that circle in the layers palette, and then select the Pen tool. Right click on the circle's edge and select Convert to path, then right click on it again and select Reverse path. Now you can attach text to the path and make it center on the inside of it. Finally, go into the properties of the path to which you attached the text, and uncheck the Visible box.

You might need to create a new text object to make it attach to the path.

Actually you shouldn't need to create a new circle. You can convert to path and reverse the shape your text is already attached to. However a new path is the norm in order to add new text running in the opposite direction compared to the existed one (I think it is even possible to break the existed path to multiple contours with different directions, but I'm not 100% sure, plus it is a bit complex). In any case, here's another HEC video covering this topic: https://youtu.be/LcFzS2P9p-U (you may want to use the timestamps in the description, to skip parts you are not interested in).
