PSP 2020 upgrade price to 2021 Ultimate

Post by Quietly »

When I open my PSP 2020 I am greeted by this offer

Image

However when I press UPGRADE I get a page which states €159.99.

I raised a ticket on the 6th October sending a screen shot of both pages and as yet have received no answers. Surely if you advertise an offer as above you are obliged to honor it? Any help appreciated so thanks in advance.

Hi
From PSP 2020 – Messages showed an upgrade option

That gave me an offer for VS and PSP for £69.99 discounted from £179.99
Selecting Buy Now showed the correct price and again Buy Now accessed the actual order form with a total as £69.99

So no problem for me
I don’t think the currency would have any bearing on this.

Thanks for the reply and I can now throw some light on to this. On my desktop PC when I open PSP I get the upgrade offer of €68.49 and when I press the upgrade button I get this link:-

https://store.paintshoppro.com/1184/pur ... nt=upgrade

Now on my Laptop I have received a popup offer and I get this link:-

https://store.paintshoppro.com/1184/pur ... 1602141467

Which you will see is for €69.99 which is close but is still not the €68.49 showing on my Desktop.

The simplest thing for me to do is take the €69.99 offer however it is annoying that you receive an offer €68.49 but it is impossible to upgrade. I have raised a ticket and they have asked me to be patient so I am hanging on. Lastly why does Corel have different offers for the same products at the same time?

This doesn't address the rest of your problems, but I would expect that the difference in the two Euro prices you receive relate to the varying exchange rate at the moment you seek to access it i.e. the British pound to Euro bitrate...

Hi
The price you show on the order is in British Pounds (£) not Euros, note my post reply being in £
Not a lot of difference in the exchange rate between the Pound and Euros
If you are in Europe and not in the UK then I don’t know why it should show in BSP unless related to the PC language setup

Did you try resetting / deleting your browser cookies and cache files on the desktop pc.
Otherwise just purchase using the laptop
You will receive an e-mail with the details and links to download the installation packages.

By the way when I select the links you provided they show in £, but to be expected as I am in the UK.
I can change the currency of the order top right of the page.

Where are you in this big wide world?

The price I show or the price that Corel shows is clearly in Euros hence the €. Now if you are saying although its marked in Euros it is actually a GBP price then the mistake is Corel's. At this moment in time it is still showing the same as on my first post. Cache, Cookies are cleared daily by CCleaner Pro. The other amazing thing is that Corel has all this information on a ticket and after a week still has not sorted it one way or another. As in its a mistake the real price is XXXX we are sorry about this or even better we will honor the price etc etc but nothing after a week is pretty poor IMHO.

With regard to exchange rates I doubt very much that they alter prices on a daily or weekly basis as the prices would be going up and down like a fiddlers elbow. So it looks like I upgrade at €69.99 which is a good deal or jump ship. Of course if I do finally get a solution offered by Corel I will post it here and once again thanks for the help and advice. Oh and I have lived in Spain for over 30 years and this is the very first time I have experienced anything like this.

Hi
At least purchasing in Euros is a better deal than in British Pounds
There may also be a slight difference in the prices because of the different Tax rates between UK and Spain.
It one time a few years ago now I bought from USA as that rate was much better than from UK, that is taking the exchange rate and having to pay import tax was still cheaper than from the UK, I don’t think I can do that now as the web sites have changed / been updated.

Anyway I still think the download deal with the free templates package is the way I would go.
Corel are also selling PSP and Video Studio for £69.99

Thanks Trevor I think you are right I will pull the trigger on that one before it goes. I will still let you all know what Corel say on the raised Ticket if they ever say anything LOL.
