uvmpeg2.dll problem

Post by Dehse »

Hi,

I have purchased ulead DVDMF 4 and whenever I try to add a video clip, I get a error message with this .dll. I looked on my system and could not find this .dll. Do I need to have this .dll? I'm not on my system at this time, but can give better/further details in about 2 hours.....

does it happen on a particular file only or every video file in your system (i believe not)?

Whats the compression/codec of the video you are trying to add?

It seems to happen on one file, which is is a quicktime file, but I have a couple of other quicktime files included as well. But, I had this file in my line of videos that I wanted to burn. I took it out, then had a change of thought, and decided to put it back in. This is where I get the error. And then sometimes it seems to crash for no apparent reason with the same error I get when I try to add this one particular quicktime file.

some quicktimes files (specially from dgital cameras) uses codecs that are not supported by MovieFactory. in my experience, MOVs from Kodak hangs the application when you simple add the video file.

If anyone is interested I have a Kodak DX6340 camera that makes
MOV files using the H.263 as video compression and the uLaw2.1 audio
compression.
These are usually the files that MF wouldn't convert.
Using MovieFactory 4 and a 2 step process on the MOV file I've gotten these files to convert using the new exporting feature.

It's a total of 3 steps to process.
