Hi everyone
I have been using VideoStudio for several years and a number of iterations and have recently upgraded fro 2018 Ultimate to 2020 Ultimate - but purely as a hobbyist.
I seem to have discovered an odd problem with NewBlue Chroma Key, which can best be seen in the attached screenshots. In chromekey1.JPG you can see that the effect is working properly in the effect window but is not being replicated in the VideoStudio preview window. Oddly, if I select the "Show mask" option in the effect (see screenshot chromekey2.JPG) the effect IS instantly replicated in the preview window as would be expected.
I've raised a ticket with Corel Support but there initial response does not fill me with much hope so I thought I'd come and ask the user community.
Anyone else seen this? Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Many thanks
Keith C.

Re: NewBlue Chroma Key problem in VideoStudio 2020 Ultimate
Hi Keith
And welcome to the forums
I am also having problems in applying the FX Chroma filter it does not seem to remove all colour back to being transparent, there always seems to be a grey effect left over, we can check that when using a solid colour clip, removing the colour leaves a grey image? ( besides it adding the centre keyframe that is not really required
If I use the programs Chroma Key then it seems to work ok
Remove the FX Chroma, double click the clip to open options panel, Chroma Key tab
Others on the forum may confirm this problem.

Re: NewBlue Chroma Key problem in VideoStudio 2020 Ultimate
Hi Trevor. Thanks you for the welcome. Indeed, I did get it to work by using the Chroma function available in the tab within the VS program itself - it just seemed very strange (and not a little disappointing) that the NewBlue effect doesn't appear to work. Hopefully the rest all work as expected but I'll no doubt find out soon. Thanks for the reply.
