Error message: The burner is busy with another application

Hello Melda, J Dee and others,

I disabled Edge a while ago, but that didn't seem to be my problem. Still it opens the mind to other possibilities.

The way I get around the "Burner Busy" problem is to create the ISO and use that to burn to disk. I just completed another project a couple weeks ago and that was the process I used.

I found a listing on the message board for VideoStudio clean-up tools and decided to give those a try. Since I've had multiple versions of VS over the years it made me wonder if there were any bits and pieces floating around. I have not reinstalled VS ultimate 2021 yet but plan to do so. We'll see if using the clean-up tools has had any effect. My gut feeling is that there is some program causing the problem and I may never discover what that is.

Creating an ISO is not difficult and it makes the burn to disk stage a breeze. Maybe that is the way we should be going all along.

Good on you Irishrose. I too have had multiple versions/upgrades in the past originally back to Ulead (which is long gone). Your gut is probably right - something in the background. Brave with all the suggested Admin fixes you've tried & taking on the clean up options...hope you can successfully reinstall VS Ultimate 21 without incident & it all proceeds to work well & maybe create direct from the project.
