I've added all of my video to the timeline, applied pan and zoom, adjusted speed, cut out the parts I didn't want, etc. Is there a way to create individual video files from each of the items on my timeline?
I don't get the "Save trimmed video" option in the File menu. It's always grayed out. Otherwise, this seems like it could be what I'm looking for:
Saving trimmed clips
Frequently, when you make changes (i.e., after auto-splitting clips using Split by Scene, extracting clips using Multi-trim Video, or manually trimming clips), you may wish to make a permanent change to the clip and save the edited file. Corel VideoStudio gives you a margin of safety since it saves the trimmed video to a new file and does not alter the original file.
To save a trimmed clip
1 In the Storyboard View, Timeline View, or the Library, select a trimmed clip.
2 Click File > Save Trimmed Video.

Re: Saving trimmed video...?
I think you are confusing saving an actual trimmed video (with emphasis on the "trimmed") and saving a "trimmed" (in the sense of edited) project. What you have in the timeline is not video. It is a project made up of video, yes, and it has been edited/changed, yes. But the original video in the project is still untouched somewhere on your computer. If you want to save stages in your editing, you go to File > Save As and give the project a new name. This is not a bad idea as you will then have a number of small project VSP files for the same project (which, remember are NOT video files) and you can later revert to one of them if you have done something wrong in a later version of the project.
But this is different from trimming individual videos which would be highlighted in the timeline and thus available to be Saved as Trimmed Video.

Re: Saving trimmed video...?
I want to save trimmed clips on the timeline to separate video files, with all of the edits in the rendered file. So if I were in storyboard mode and there were five icons then I want file files. Can I do something like that.

Re: Saving trimmed video...?
You can of course do that, but depending on your edits, it could get a bit messy. Have a look at my attached image. With your project in the timeline, you have to drag those orange markers where the red arrows are pointing to the start and finish of the clip you want to save. It could get messy as in my attached image if you have transitions in those spots since a transition includes part of the end of the preceding clip and part of the clip you are interested in. But that of course is part of the project.
Then you go to Share and select "Create Preview Range Only" where the green arrow is pointing. After you click the Start button, this will produce a new video clip of that area of the project. But as I said, I am not sure you could do much with it, especially if it begins and ends with a transition, and if, say, you have underlying music which starts earlier and ends later...

Re: Saving trimmed video...?
That is very helpful Ken, but probably not what I'm looking for.
