PSP X5 User - Downloaded 2021 trial. Can't see layers

I've been using PSP X5 for many years, mostly for CD cover artwork, which requires multiple layers.

I've installed the PSP 2021 demo on a new PC that I am setting up, opened one of my existing PSP files and cannot figure out how to see the layers pallet. Instead I see a flattened image that is split between a before and after view.

In the documentation it says to select view/pallets/layers, but when I click view, there is no pallets option. Sorry for such a dumb question, but how can I see the layers pallet? I don't know if it is due to the demo, but the entire application seems so limited.

I used to do a lot of photography and used Lightroom & Photoshop for that, but always found PSP easier to work with for the CD covers. Photoshop can be so un-intuitive. I still pay their monthly subscription fee and was hoping to cancel and use PSP instead.

Perhaps you mean view Layers Palette.

You have now a menu Palettes where you can show the Layers Palette.

You are in Photography workspace.
Go to File/Workspace and click on Complete.

That was the problem... thank you so much! PSP now looks much more familiar.
