Hi:
I am trying to get the scrolling text to appear on the TV screen in the background. I don't want it sliding in as it is doing now. I put a video link to show that I am trying to drag the text onto the background, but it is not working. Funny thing is if I drag a picture or even a video onto the clip it will work, but not with animated text?

Re: Help Needed - Titles
This screen shot from YOUR video shows that you have done it - the text is overlaying your video - which you say is what you want
the fact that it is sliding is because you have chosen the wrong title template - try using the 6th one along in your library to replace the one you have put there and edit the text to your requirements
the lower tracks are called Overlay tracks because anything you put in them overlays the tracks above - you do not have to actually put the titles on the video - as I said this screen shot shows that you have the title on the video

Re: Help Needed - Titles
I think what you're trying to do is get the title to be sized and positioned over the little black screen in the middle, which, as you say is easy for an standard overlay but not so easy for a text overlay.
The "easy" way to do it is by custom motion but setting start & end keyframes sized and positioned the same;
1.With your title in the overlay track, right click it and select Motion Options -> Customize Motion
- It opens the Customize Motion window on keyframe 1 (Little triangle on timeline at time position 0)
2. Reduce box size and move so it fits over the tv (as it's fullscreen at start, reduce the X,Y values until you see the resize dots then use them) as you would a standard overlay.
- The final keyframe is still fullsize so the overlay will move towards those fullsize values over the length of the title track, to prevent this
3. Right Click the keyframe 1 triangle and select "Copy & Paste to All)
- the start & endpoints will now have the same values so will appear as stationary sized & positioned to how you want.
4. Click ok/save to keep your "motion" settings.
The text overlay and any text animations will now appear sized and stationary over the little tv.
