I recently purchased the VSPU2020 online but there was NO Retail Disc option available and there was no live person to ask about it as well.
.
Is there a way to download the ISO or could a 3rd party file hosting website be made available for me to DL a burnable to DVD file, so I may have a hard copy archival copy?
.
Is there a better way to create this BU archive?
During a DL+Install, is there a folder where I might have the required files already on my computer?
Where might they be?
.
Thanks,
John

If you didn't select any folder it's probably on your desktop.
Trevor will guide you shortly.

Hi John
When you downloaded and installed the program you would have used a file called VideoStudio2020_Installer.exe or similar, for 2020 my file is 6,977Kb
From the download page there is an option to choose a save location, I believe that defaults to our desktop in a folder simply called Video Studio
I usually change that to my D Drive.
Have a look on the desktop
Within the folder are several other folders , 64bit, Common, StandardContent2, along with the stub -- VideoStudio2020_Installer.exe or maybe called VideoStudio_Install.exe
You should be able to locate that folder.
For VS 2020 the only way to download the program again is to first uninstall 2020, so if you cannot find the files then that is your option.
The files are quite large at 10Gb ish, to backup to disc you would be best using Bluray Disc
Hope this helps

Treavor,
Thanks for your reply.
Since this is the "ULTIMATE" version, Where will the included add-ons be located?
Will they be right there with the VSP Files & Folders, or somewhere else?
What about updates & SP's?
Thanks,
John

Re: VSP Ult 2020, is there a Downloadable ISO? Archive BackU
Hi John
Have you located the downloaded folder?
Most program files are within the 64bit folder
That contains
1 / Bonus Features (2.5Gb) which are the update from Pro to Ultimate, ProDad plugins etc.
2 / Common and StandardContent – part of the installation files
3 / Ultimate folder (1.3Gb) this contains the basic program installation files. Yes the name could be confusing.
Service Packs
Using the latest versions I think from 2018 all updates are automatic, installed through the program
Corel do not provide any means of downloading SP’s from their site, however the programs updates do save the service packs to our PC here---- C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Corel --- not to say that will continue as they tend to change things.
It appears to be the norm that Corel will update the programs installation files to include service packs, that means any new purchases or indeed a re-installation of the program is likely to include the SP’s. and not require updating.
Certainly re-installing Video Studio 2020 will include upto SP3, SP4 is the latest service pack, I’m sure to be included sometime.
