The test is done, here is MY conclusion..

Post by Siberiantiger »

I just reinstalled Windows XP Pro w/Service Pack 2 preinstalled, and adding no drivers or software and no updates and no configurations. Then i installed v4 and tested burning to dvd, iso and cd, all of them failed with the same error. I seems like v4 is not working at all, at least not with Service Pack 2 and Windows XP Pro. Maybe worth trying a "clean" install of Windows XP Pro without any service packs.. Unfortunately i can not test this as i only have a Win XP Pro CD with SP2 preinstalled. Hopefully there is someone else that can test this for us?

This means i have "given up" the v4. I will keep using v3 and it seems very stable.

Fail to Burn

Post by robinwilks »

We are at the point that before the program crashes it saves a temporary file and then we burn that with Nero. I still feel this is not acceptable, however, we can obtain the finished product.

Maybe I found a solution for my burning problem (failed burn when phisical write begins). I searched update packs on Ulead site. I think, the my problem is in the DVD's file system. I know the PictureShow 3 working. I found an older patch for DVD writer component, maybe for PictureShow 3. I tried it because my software was disfunctional and I wanted reinstall it.
The update patch's name is "3617246.zip". The page: http://www.ulead.com/tech/general/burning_engine.htm
After this I installed the latest DVD burning patch ("ulead_burning3619281_pack.exe"). I tried DVD image burning hopelessly, but it's working! I don't tested it with direct burning. I want to play a sure game. :-)
(Sorry, my english is poor.)

After installing an old version of lxdvdparser.dll as suggested the DVD burn step finally goes to completion.

Then I installed the latest patch and it still works.

Do not know why this fixes the problem, but it definitely

hi!

It seems that everybody has expirienced the annoying burning process of PS 4. Guess what, I have contacted their technical suppot and he gave me a LXDVDParser.dl- fix and it worked just fine. I have uninstalled first the software then reinstalled, unzip the attached zip file from the technical support. Just try contact the technical support and ask for the fix, it may worked with you guys.

Good luck 8)

Solution to CD & DVD Labs 4 burning problem

Post by vmeriau »

:D I've tried it and it works !!!!!!

As Mozsi said on Wed Sep 21, 2005 3:36 am, download the lastest CD/DVD Burning Engine Update at :
http://www.ulead.com/tech/general/burning_engine.htm

So, go to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD directory,
Rename the LXDVDParser.dll in LXDVDParser.dll.old
Then extract the LXDVDParser.dll file from the downloaded ZIP to this directory.

Try now to burn !

It works fine for me...Hope it will be the same for you.

Of course, newer DVD Writers may not work...just try !

Good luck !

This company and software is TERRIBLE!

Post by dpdonley »

I am so frustrated with this company. Has anyone actually got in touch with someone from tech support that has a solution?

Please do not tell me that we have to pay more money on upgrades or patches or spend more time on this. I have been putting together a slideshow for my mother's birthday for three weeks now. I finally finished and am now finding out that this softward is defective and won't burn my DVD. It crashes at 83% everytime. I am furious!!!! Now the slideshow I promised my family won't be there this weekend!

Ulead....you better come up with an answer quick. You have a lot of dispappointed customers out here!
