slideshow "fails to burn"
After completing the slideshow project, which includes 4 slideshows and approximately 500 pictures I start the burn process. When the final burn process gets to 95 to 100% it stops and gives a message "failed to burn."
Any ideas?

try clean reinstall
Why don't you try reinstalling it again? Try deleting first all its installation information or any traces of the software before installing it such as registry, program files, etc. ^_^

Version 4 simply doesn't work!
Looks like we've all been used as Beta Testers for this upgrade we paid for! I contacted support and they told me they are working on fixing the "bug" and to watch their web-site. I went to the web-site and they are still selling this version, yet it doesn't work. I am truly disgusted

I have had this software for over a month now and was very excited to get it... I still CANNOT get it to run or burn....
I am NOT happy.... No fix, have updated the burn patch and does not work, have tried what technical have told me and no joy...
How do we know we are beta testers? Makes sense as when I bought it I could not register until a few days later and it showed-up on their list....
What is the other programme you mention Crash?

...and i thought it was something wrong with my computer...
Now i have been trying both CD & DVD PictureShow 3 and 4 (TRIAL) to decide if Uleads product was good enought for me and my 6000 pictures.
But both products failed when i said it was trying to write to the DVD device (DVD burner) I checked the web and found out that my DVD burner (NEC 3540A) is supported. So why does it fail? I am using Windows XP Pro with SP2 installed.
I was actually going to buy this product today after testing it.. but this does not look good.. I REALLY hope Ulead makes an effort to inform us future customers when there is a fix for this. And of course people that have bought the upgrade of course
Well, i don't have much time left to wait.. i really need to get a professional" software that works. I have tried several other companies software similar to this. F.ex ArcSoft SlideShow 1.0 and DVD Photo Slideshow Pro 6.01. I also tried Photodex ProShow Gold 2.5 and Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows.

burn failed victim too
Ok...I don't get it...I tried the trial version and it burned fine. So I decided to get the full version and it says burn failed every time! How is it possible that they can sell something that doesn't work?
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing! The sad part is that I love everything about the program until it's time to burn!!!!

It works :)
Hi!
I did a reinstallation of my operating system and installed CD & DVD PictureShow from Ulead as the first software after drivers and windows update.
And now CD and DVD burning with version 3 of this brilliant software is working perfectly (so far)
So i looks like it is something wrong on the computer software setup that was making the cd/DVD burning fail. I donæt really know what, but i suggest that others with the same problem also tries this to see if it works. Please remember that reinstalling you OS also means that you have to make a backup of all your documents and other files that you need later as the first thing BEFORE the reinstalling

solution to burning
Hi.... I have been able to burn DVD's with verion 4 successfully with the following steps:
1. Burn the DVD presentation to a folder on the computer harddrive (not to a DVD)
2. Use NERO to burn the presentation from the harddrive folder to the DVD.
This has been working perfectly for me. Unfortuantley I have had no success in burning from Pictureshow 4.0 to a DVD disc directly. Use the steps above to make it work. Hope this helps.

Yes, we have saved the project to the hard drive and used Nero to burn as well..However, that is not the point. The software we have purchased is suppose to burn a DVD.
I am still furious at ULEAD for not getting the LEAD out and fixing this software which they are still selling to the public knowing full well that it doesn't work. What if you don't have NERO??
This is unacceptable!!!!

great idea for the time being
ok...if I burn the project to a file, and open Nero...what files do I add to Nero to burn? It saved a file Audio TS that is empty, a video ts that is full, a dvd_udf.iso. file that is huge!
sorry, i'm lost

Upgrading from v3 -> v4
Hi!
After i confirmed that v3 was working 100%, i thought i would give it a try with v4. So i removed v3 and installed v4. But now i have the same problem again, the burn process fails with an error message from Windows saying this program crashed.
I have tried almost all alternatives, burned to a ISO file, that also crashed the program, so the ISO file was never created. Tried using smaller pictures (below 800x600 resolution) and removed animations from menu and slideshow. But that did not help either.
So i am back to scratch. But i will try to install Windows XP again and just install v4 before any other programs to see if it works again. And if it does, i will try installing one by one program that makes the program fail burning again. And if i find out, i will post that in this forum.
Until then good luck to all of you! I would not have bought this software until Ulead has published a downloadable fix for this. I hope this will be in the very near future!

a little update
I just tried, for fun.. just uninstalling v4 and reinstall v3 without doung anything else (except a reboot) and now the v3 doesn't work either.. So it looks like the v4 is f***** up the system. I thing a reinstall of the operating system will make the v4 work again.. i will at least try once before i give up.
