Re: How to flip a curved text?
Hi deepndark,
1. Select the New Ellipse object (not the text) in the layers palette
2. Activate the Pen Tool, from the vertical tools bar (or hit V on your keyboard)
3. From the menus at the top of the screen, select: Objects -> Convert to Path
4. From the menus at the top of the screen, select: Objects -> Edit -> Reverse Path
You will probably have to also re-position the text, afterwards.

Re: How to flip a curved text?
Hi, success, but how to move the position of the text, because right now when draging the text, it magnet-snaps it back where it was, thanks!migf1 wrote:Hi deepndark,

Edit: Well I can drag it by not draging the text but the shape. At least this is one method, cheers!

Re: How to flip a curved text?
As Jean Luc mentioned already, you can push the text outside or inside the shape by adjusting the text's offset. However, you should be able to also move it around the shape, using the pick tool (or the text tool). Or using the arrow keys on the keyboard (holding Control moves it in 10 pixels steps, while holding Shift moves it in 50 pixels steps... holding down both moves it in 100 pixels steps).deepndark wrote: Hi, success, but how to move the position of the text, because right now when draging the text, it magnet-snaps it back where it was, thanks!

A few days ago, HEC started a series of tutorials especially for text. Just today she posted one that talks exactly about curving text on shapes and paths. It's a bit long, so you may want to use the Timestamps in the description, to jump directly to the chunk you are interested in.
Here is the part that talks about moving the text: Moving & Transforming.
Have also a look at: Handling Attached Objects (Individually and As A Whole).
Actually, I think she covers pretty much everything regarding curved texts (including reversing a shape's path).
