Hi, Just a list of issues so far.
1: Trial wouldn't accept my new key, had to re-install which takes ages
2: Corel live chat dont seem to support visual studio because they keep saying it's the wrong department
3: I opened my saved project in the newly install corel pro, everything is covered in green
4: can't uninstall this thing, keeps saying there was some error so im stuck with it.
So a pretty nightmare experience so far, can anyone give some clues to any of this? mostly why my video is suddenly green
never ending problems with this software

Check that you have the latest video drivers installed.vortek18 wrote:mostly why my video is suddenly green
Your profile doesn't say what version of VS you've installed. It only says "Corel programs: visual studio pro". In any event, there are instructions on this forum on how to uninstall some versions of VS.vortek18 wrote:4: can't uninstall this thing, keeps saying there was some error so im stuck with it.

and perhaps you should also note that the programme discussed here is VIDEO STUDIO - NOT Visual studio which is a Microsoft programme so if you are putting that in live chat like you have in your profile here then the system will not discuss it
have you tried running the official Videostudio clean up tool to remove the programme from your computer

Re: never ending problems with this software
Hi vortek18
And welcome to the forums
We need a little more info regarding your program, as mentioned it is called VideoStudio, the latest version is 2020 version 23.3.0.646 (recent update by installing SP4)
View Help – About -- can you confirm that you are using the purchased version or still running the trial.
We would advise uninstalling the Trial version, then downloading the purchased version as a new download, installing VS should give you the latest version.
Unfortunately there is no official “cleanup tool” available for the public use as the 2020 version causes problems with other installed Video Studio programs.
vortek18 …. We may be able to help provided you only have CVS 2020 installed and no other versions, please confirm this is correct.

Re: never ending problems with this software
Do have a look at the OP's profile which states "Corel programs: visual studio pro". Regardless, my reply addressed the topic so it's unclear what your pedantic point is and how you advanced the issue.BJC wrote:and perhaps you should also note that the programme discussed here is VIDEO STUDIO - NOT Visual studio which is a Microsoft programme

Re: never ending problems with this software
Yes exactly tletter his profile says VISUAL studio - (which I mentioned in my reply) which is not the programme we talk about here - so his profile is incorrect - and if he put VISUAL into the Corel live chat box it is possibly why he was told he was "in the wrong department" - so I *MAY* have advanced the issue by allowing the OP to enter the correct programme name in Corel Live chat and that *may* get him Corel help
Accuracy in defining the problem is a necessity if the correct solution is to be reached and therefore I do not accept your accusation that I was being pedantic - I was merely trying to get the OP to understand the difference between VIDEOstudio and VISUALstudio which could well lead him on to more satisfaction with the programme we discuss here
and I do not see anywhere in your reply where you have addressed the problem of the OP not being able to use live chat - we each try to help in our own particular way saying what we think would help the person with the problem and I do not see how picking on another poster in a challenging manner helps solve the problem at all
