Sound not Synchronous in VS2020
Hello, I am using the VS 2020 trial version. but when I import a MPG from DVD the sound is not-synchronous as I playback the file. Apparently this is an bug in VS 2020. So, my question is: is there in the mean time a patch or an update to fix this problem. If not is it them worth while buying a full program with such an error? Specifically as I am only using VS for editing subtitles with DVD MPG files.

Re: Sound not Synchronous in VS2020
Hi CaseyW
We are aware that the trial version has its limitations although this is the first time a sync issue has been reported when using DVD Mpeg2.
Have you reported this to Corel Support who confirms it’s a bug?
I am not sure if the trial has burning capabilities nor whether the program allows importing files from DVD.
Certainly there have been changes in the use of Digital Dolby with Surround Sound no longer available, only stereo.
The files on disc are Vob’s, yes basically Mpeg2, but how did you import the files from disc to the pc.
Importing using VS would effectively copy the video stream so no recoding means little impact on the original files.
I am unsure if we can directly import vob file to the timeline
Another option would be to copy the Vobs to your hard drive, then rename to use MPG as the file extension, In most cases we can then import to VS timeline.
Can you right click the file on the timeline and choose properties, what are they?
Are you able to provide one of your Vob files for us to try on the full VS 2020 version, each Vob will be approx. 1 Gb, the last vob may be smaller, less than 1 gb
I note your profile shows you having VS 2018, are you able to use that to import the files from disc, you could then insert the file using 2020 Trial
