I use Paintshop Pro 2019 & Aftershot Pro 3. The PP19 displays thumbnails in the management screen, as well as in the edit screen. The thumbnails are displayed with different color schemes. Why is this and how is this controlled?
Recently I was shooting scenery. I sat in a chair and photoed birds in a tree for a couple hours. I came home and processed some of the shots in ASP and PP19.
Today, in ASP all thumbnails have a bright blue sky. they appear very similar to the actual sky the day of the photos.
But in PP19 many of the thumbnails have have a grey sky. Some of the TIFs produced by ASP have the correct bright blue sky.
This is not a one time occurence. It happens over and over. I've read about PSP Color Management and know how to set it up for basic, soft proofing, and how to disable it. Doing these things seem to have no effect on the thumbnail display.
Does anyone have insight into what is going on?
Thx

Re: Monitor Color Management
I don't have any real insight but am posting this to encourage any intention Corel may have of re-visiting PSP's color management. In addition to what you notice, I also note that the colors in an image differ somewhat between the "Management" and "Edit" modes. When it comes to color management, I can accomplish just about anything I want in PSP, such as converting/assigning color spaces but the process is often cumbersome. I also find it inconvenient you can't switch color working spaces if there is an image loaded. I'd like to see Corel rework PSP's color management to be more like what's in Photoshop, whose approach is much more straightforward and manageable. So, recommendation to Corel, make one of your next upgrades a thoroughly reworked color management facility. Many of us are moving to larger color spaces in monitors and printers and, therefore, becoming more directly involved with CM. PSP is a great product (A few years ago I switched from Photoshop, believe it or not) but this is one area of weakness I'd really enjoy having addressed.

Re: Monitor Color Management
I like PSP for editing photos, but when it comes to color management I'm not holding my breath waiting for them to fix it. The program doesn't seem to output the correct data to printers if you're using anything other than sRGB. Try printing a ProPhoto RGB color space reference photo to see what happens when PSP does the management. Thus, I just can't trust it for other than sRGB. If somebody figures it out, I'd love to hear how to set it up.

Re: Monitor Color Management
Color Management in PSP hasn't worked since PSP was a JASC product. And therefore the coding for it is likely buried so deeply in the old code that Corel purchased and/or so integrated with other code that Corel isn't likely to want to attempt to unravel that tangled ball of thread.
