And here's a new bug. I make some didactic tutorials. I have prepared a small personal theme and every time I open the project and start working.
Today I wanted to start a new tutorial, I open the usual project of the theme and find the empty clips.
The strange thing is that Video Studio normally asks you to reconnect the clips not found. Instead it doesn't. Everything remains unusable. The clips are regularly in the usual place in the folder.
Another anomalous and similar behavior is that it does not ask to delete the miniatures of the videos that are no longer traceable. Even if you click on it, nothing happens.
Opening my last tutorial instead, we see the initial part loaded regularly.
I am seriously thinking, after so many years and with regret, of abandoning Corel and Video Studio. Intuitive software. It allows to obtain appreciable results in a short time. But the bugs negate this advantage. I hope something changes.
Thank you, as always, for your kind attention

Check that the Relink option is selected.VB_video wrote:The strange thing is that Video Studio normally asks you to reconnect the clips not found.

Re: VS2020 - Blank clips
As tletter advice.
From (F6) Settings – Preferences – General tab
Make sure Relink checking is selected.
Also pressing Alt + C will select/deselect this option
Where are your files saved to on your PC?
If files are saved to an external drive and that drive is disconnected when you run VS then it will cause a re-link.
Moving or re-naming the files or their location will cause a re-link.
Sometimes when I need to re-link the process gets in a loop, my best option is to deselect Re-link Check from the popup window and that changes the settings in F6

It is not normal for the program to ask for a re-link unless you have changed the files location or re-named the files, once you have started using a file you should not change its location. The strange thing is that Video Studio normally asks you to reconnect the clips not found. Re: VS2020 - Blank clips
Thanks for the answers. I followed the advice. Problem solved: project recovered.
The doubt remains:
- I have 1 SSD (C) and 2 HD (E; F) internal
- Only disk F is exclusively used for videos (software is on C)
- No files have been moved
- I did not voluntarily disable the "Relink checking" feature
Regards

Hi
Thanks for the reply, at least we know it was the Preferences setting being disabled, does not explain why the re-link?
Do you have many instances of having to re-link, if so I think would indicate a change in the F drive?

Re: VS2020 - Blank clips
Disk F is practically frozen. Knowing the problems of moving, each project remains locked in its own folder. In fact, I had no other reconnection problems.
In this regard, I cannot fully understand VS's way of "thinking". I save the projects not in the "My Projects" folder, but I create a single folder in F with three subfolders (video, audio, img). So I think I can transport the work to another PC as a whole.
Or I can copy a project to modify it (as happens for example with the introduction of each tutorial). Unfortunately, I notice that the movements, even if in a single block, create some clip recognition problems. Precisely for this reason I avoid moving.
Is it always necessary to use the "My Projects" folder in C ?
