Apologies if this is elsewhere; my searches for posts about deleting layers resulting in errors came up empty. Feel free to point me elsewhere if this has already been covered.
I've just started fiddling around with PSP 2020, but still have X9 installed since I was pretty happy with it. One thing I've noticed right away is that I get an error message (and sometimes a program crash) when I try to delete a layer. Even worse, it's not all layers. Here's how it happened: I pasted in a transparent selection and now I have a new layer called "Promoted Selection." I decided I didn't need it so I hit the "Delete" button. I got this error message:
------- Command Execution Failed -----------
Command Name: Vector Selection Update
Error Text: Requested parameter not found in the repository.

Anyway, it's been doing that. The basic, obvious things like closing the program and re-starting the computer made no difference. Anyone else seen that or know what to do about it?

Deleting the cache?
File > Preferences > Reset preferences > Delete all cachefiles (active caches rebuilt on restart.)
Sometimes does the trick
