I need help ASAP!
Our video was edited in Media Studio 3. We stripped the audio, had it 'sweetened' and put it back in. I painstakingly matched the audio to the video. The avi files look and sound perfect.
When I burn to DVD, the audio is out of synch.
PLEASE help me with possible solutions... just identifying the problem isn't quite enough!!!
Thanks to all.

Re: Sound out of synch in MF#
I've previewed the avi files and they're fine. The video and audio match in the preview, but not after burning.

Try this - it worked for me.
CONFIGURATION & SET-UP:
1) From Ulead Tech Support: check the settings in your DVDMF.ini file
a) Close DMF. Locate DVDMF.ini file in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory\2.0. (or 3.0 depending upon the DMF version you have)
b) Open it and add three flags in the VIODRIVER section as shown below.
[VIODRIVER]
CloseAudioDTR=1
AlwaysAudioSeek=1
AlwaysVideoSeek=1

Search the forum for "sync", and you'll find lots of suggestions. This is a common problem which seems to have several different causes & soulutions. (You may also find some hints on the Video Studio and DVD Workshop forums... this problem shows-up on those products too.)
If you have a few corrupt video frames, these frames may be thrown-out during MPEG encoding, or during re-multiplexing. These lost frames will shorten the video stream without shortening the audio stream... Now they are out of sync.
I suspect a corrupt AVI file. Does the sync error seem to be constant, or does it get worse later in the video?The avi files look and sound perfect... When I burn to DVD, the audio is out of synch.

I had similar problem when burning with MSP7. Your problem might be simiar.
My AVI and even MPEG files were perfectly in sync before burning to disk. But lip sync was lost during burning. It turned out that for some reason MSP had started to produce corrupt MPEG files. I reinstalled MSP7 entirely and that solved the issue.
Hope that helps
