Printer profile?

Post by CharlieBrown »

Good morning!

Please forgive a newbie but I seem to have an issue with a printer. I have Corel Paint Shop Pro X and I don't know how to add lab printer profile and save it in the app? When I choose SAVE AS I see a window where I can add a profile. However it is inactive and I can't pick anything else except sRGB. How to add or load a different profile?

Thank you!

Hello Charlie, welcome to the forum!

I am not sure if that's what you are asking, but I think you mean the Color Management ICC profiles?

If so, does any of the following videos help? They are from the same guy, one for PSP 2018/2019 and one for PSP X9:

Those videos should help you get profiles loaded into Windows and maybe show up with PSP, but stick with sRGB. PSP doesn't handle other color spaces well, never has, and there's no evidence they have any intention of fixing it. If anybody can get something like Prophoto to work, I'd like to hear about it. I love PSP as an editor, but if you want full control over profiles and printing, get a copy of Qimage. BTW, the PSP rendering intents use the odd Microsoft names, but they do translate to the more standard perceptual, etc.
