Hi, all,
I'm brand-new to the field of video editing. I just rendered my first .mp4 using VideoStudio Ultimate X10.
The software inserted a title containing the output file name over the first three seconds of my video (bottom of the frame, centered horizontally). I absolutely did not tell it to do that, nor does that bit of text appear in the "titles" track in the timeline view of my video. I don't want it. I'm guessing that there's a check box somewhere controlling whether or not the software adds this to a rendered video, but I haven't found it yet.
How do I tell the software not to throw extra titles into my video?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi philwynk
And welcome to the forums
The program does not have the capability to do that as such there are no settings or options that you can select
Unless Corel have slipped that in without our knowledge.
I would suspect the Title is embedded to the video file
The only option that the program has in adding text as such is when working with DV where the time code can be shown
F6 – Preferences – General tab – Preview window – Display DV timecode on Preview Window
If the program has created a separate title / text on the title tracks, can you take a screen shot and attach to your post?
If you play the video file using your media players does the text still show?

Re: Filename title in the opening 3 seconds of rendered vid
Ok, I searched prior forum posts and figured it out.
The title was being posted by the video player I was using, which in this case was VLC Media Player. I found the check box in that application's options and turned it off.
Sorry to have cluttered up the forum with a newbie mistake.

Hi
No problem and thanks for the feedback, next time I will try to remember the VLC setting.
