Does it have permission to write to the directory you are trying to save to?
(Right click the directory you are trying to save to and go to properties and check the security tab)

or is an antivirus preventing writing to the directory?

Hi Rita,

this is really odd! Maybe it has something to do with the recent issues ppl had with the previous update of Windows 10?
Have a look here: https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=380342#p380342

Two forum members suddenly started experiencing random PSP issues & crashes after a Windows update, but then they installed a most recent Windows update and their issues seem to got fixed auto"magically".

Hi
Are you using any extra characters in the file name, a / would cause this, example (transparent / image.png)

Try retyping the file name again using just plain text or numbers

I haven't saves any characters other the underscore, and it does it with only solid names as well

1) Just update the original topic don't create a new one.
2) We're just regular users. We don't know why your PSP2018 is refusing to save. The error you're reporting suggests it's something with the name. But if there is some other reason deeper in the code or some setup we won't know unless we've also encountered the problem. Have you tried contacting Corel support?

What we can do is try to suggest random things to see if they help. Can you do a screenshot of the save dialog when it fails?

There was no need to create a new topic since this is the same subject as your earlier one: https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=380409#p380409

Have you tried resetting PSP 2018? Hold down the Shift key when clicking on the desktop PSP icon to open the program. You will be asked if you want to reset. Say OK. Make sure you save any customized workspace -- otherwise it will be lost during the reset.

(EDIT: I see LeviFiction posted about the same time as me...)

Which seems to have left some confusion as the posts are out of order and in post number 4 by Rita she says
It's allowing me to save now, lol I guess after I ran the pspcleaner and done a new reinstall it corrected it.. thank you for the reply,
So I am guessing that it has been solved.
