I want to report a problem that has been annoying since the 3D Title Editor appeared in Video Studio (derived from the more complete Motion Studio 3D).
The width of the text is decidedly different inside the 3D Title Editor compared to what is then set in the project.
It is clearly seen in the attached image. Often it forces the Editor to reopen for adjustments.
Thank you for your attention.
Regards
3D Title Editor

Re: 3D Title Editor
If you use the 3D Title Editor frequently, you'll find that there are many problems with it that make it difficult to use.

You appear to be thinking that you are reporting your problem directly to Corel. However, the people on this forum are volunteers not working for Corel. Hence you might want to open a ticket with Corel support.VB_video wrote:I want to report a problem

Re: 3D Title Editor
Hi VB_video
Looking at the scaling it appears 3DT has been designed around 4:3 video sizes, but it is not just 4:3 the 3DT seems to use anamorphic settings. (non – square pixel rendering)
If you change the project properties to use DVD – 16:9 the sizes look correct, that does not really help when video nowadays use true HD 16:9 at 1920 x 1080.
Also Avchd 1440 x 1080 would work although you would have to render to that size
I think you are best using your normal 16:9 settings then using Customise Motion, increase the size to fit the text correctly, a size setting of 140% seemed about right to correct the size.

I have passed details of your post to the Corel development team, you never know?

Re: 3D Title Editor
For this and other problems I have opened some tickets with Corel since the 2019 version.
It seems that, at least in the beginning, they don't read the message.
They always start offering the same standard actions:
- clean up your PC from previous versions
- delete temporary files
- reinstall the software
- start clean Windows
Much time is wasted on problems that are clearly software bugs.
Sometimes it seems to exchange messages with a software.
I wrote not because you can fix a bug, but simply for comparison.
As I reported the problem directly to Corel with the 2019 version and was not listened to, I hope Corel will listen to this group more.
As I have already written, I know the mechanism of the Title 3D well, as it derives from the more complete Corel Motion Studio 3D (as can be easily deduced from the attached image), which in turn derives from a similar Ulead product.
Thank you for your kind reply.

Re: 3D Title Editor
Hi
I doubt that Corel will fix the size issue with 3DT, just a feeling
If you have MS3D then use that to create your titles certainly more advanced than 3DT
MS3D is also old and will not receive any further updates or fixes, should it need it.
Previously called Cool3D
I notice I cannot export to Video Studio, maybe I am missing something, but can save as a .c3d file that opens in Video Studio.
Video Studio also had BCC Title Studio and New Blue Titler Pro both a bit of a learning curve.
Corel Support, well yes they do send you round in circles re-installing etc. which is a bit annoying placing the problem on our environment, unfortunately many times that’s all it takes.
Yes I would consider the 3DT Editor size issue as a bug, although It appears to be by design and not updated with HD video, just simply overlooked, as I said I have passed the details on whether it gets addressed with the next version is another thing altogether.
The workround for 3DT would be to apply Customise Motion

Re: 3D Title Editor
I sincerely thank you for the answers. Here the messages are read and the replies are relevant.
Unfortunately Corel seems to be making a policy that is not suitable for advanced users. I would not like to be forced to abandon its products.
I use MS3D for titles in which I must also insert 3D objects. As seen in the image attached and present on my YouTube channel. If I only need text, I'd like to stay within the same program.
I have some other problems to deal with in the next few days.
Greetings and good work.
