Perhaps I am having a thinking problem, but, I am not finding the "Offset control" referred to in these instructions concerning attaching text to a path:
To adjust the position of text fitted to a path
1 On the Tools toolbar, choose the Text tool .
2 Select the text whose position you want to adjust by dragging over it.
Note: You can also select the entire text by pressing Ctrl + A.
On the Tool Options palette, set a value in the Offset control.
Positive values position the text above the path; negative values position the text below the path.
4 On the Tool Options palette, click the Apply button .
Assistance appreciated.
Where is the Offset control?

Re: Where is the Offset control?
There are a lot of text tool options, too many to fit on the toolbar on most screens. You'll notice at the far right there is an arrow pointing to the right, click on that and it'll collapse some of the options to show more options. It might actually just be one button. The very last button on the tool options bar, looks like three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other with a down arrow next to it, is a hidden menu where some text options like kerning, leading, and offset are hidden.

Hi There,
If you click the "box", More Options, at the end of your tool options palette, you'll see Miter Limit, Offset etc....is that what you're looking for?...

Thank you both. It was a problem between my ears. I had been on that pop up screen but not looked carefully.
