I have been faithful to this software since 1995 when it was called Ulead Media Studio, unfortunately then abandoned by Corel for the amateur version Video Studio. I know all the evolution.
The various Corel versions followed with ups and downs. I use the Ultimate. I didn't like 2018 and 2019 because of too many bugs. 2020 seems to be going better, but Corel's service department responds politely, but with messages that seem pre-packaged or even automatically generated.
I am going to show some of the bugs found here for comparison with other users.
The first concerns the BASIC SHAPES: the border is applied to the occupied rectangular area and not directly to the shape. I attach photos.
In this way the border is useless.
I greet and thank you for your attention

Re: Basic Shapes
Hi VB_ Video
And welcome to the forums
Yes there does appear to be an issue in adding a border to objects where the background is transparent
There is a way to add a border by creating a copy of the image, change its colour to white, increasing its size.
Adding the White to Overlay 1 and red to overlay 2 should give you a border
I used Customise Motion to create the effect to the world image
I have grouped the two clips to lock them together, right click the clip for options
VSP attached to open with 2020, if you have to relink simply choose your heart image.

Re: Basic Shapes
Perfect. Excellent solution. I thank. I attach the result obtained.
But now I have to make a consideration: if a function is not usable why Corel does not deactivate or correct it? The border, with the basic and transparent shapes, cannot be used.
