Hi. I've been using VideoStudio for many years, but mostly for slideshow videos. Lately I've started making time lapse videos of my murals.
So here's what I'd like to do.....
Simply put, I'd like to show a large closed scrapbook and have the pages open....so that would be a video. I actually have a short video showing just that.
Is there a way to place images on the pages as they turn? I seem to recall an older version of VideoStudio having something very much like what I just described. I have the X10 version right now.
Back to my idea....the mural I painted shows a very large and open scrapbook with both pages showing very old newspaper articles and images taped to the pages. So I'd like to have the title of the video on the scrapbook cover and t hen the pages will open to show what looks like the original and actual newspaper clippings. They will cross fade to photos of the part of my mural that shows the exact images and then I'll fade into the slide show....so this would be only the opening.
If anyone can point me to what program or add-on I might need to pull this off, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance
Skip

skip, as a painter you know that 1 picture can save 1000 words, but you preferred to stay with the later.

Hi Skip
The quickest option would be to use the Album A/B transition (Flip-Album)
Not sure this is exactly what you need, you should give it a try to see if that does what you want
You can customise the effect, then save to Favourites, then use that to apply to video track would apply to all clips.
Customise Motion may do what you want, easy to rotate images etc

Try Trevor's suggestion of the Flip transition ("Flip" in the Transition Libray, "Flip-Album" in the transition Edit pane).
Once inserted, double-click to open the transition Edit pane then click the Customize (gear wheel) icon - you now have a really great set of options, including the ability to add your own album cover!

Re: Animated scrapbook how to?
Thanks very much for the replies. I was away for the weekend and couldn't respond until I got to my own computer.
I just looked at the list of transitions and ....O.M.G.....LOL. I can't believe that I didn't see that in the first place:-) (the flip album transition). I have to go paint today but I'll play with that transition when I get a chance. I think it may work....maybe not quite as fined as I would like, but good enough. I saw that I can use a custom album cover as well, as someone mentioned.
So thanks again for those that made actual suggestions.
For the guy who just complained that I didn't post images, instead of trying to explain, well....you spelled latter wrong;-) But here's a photo anyway of the project I'm painting. You can barely see the big scrapbook behind me and the scaffolding.
So I'm thinking of starting the album pages with actual newspaper clips and then it'll fade into still and videos of the actual mural, when it's done and the scaffolding is removed.

Thanks:-) It's been a long and tedious process, but I love doing these. Same with my videos, but I'm better at murals. For now.
