ProDAD Adorage issues ***PLEASE HELP***

Hey,

Since downloading Corel VideoStudio ultimate 2019 & now upgrading to 2020, my ProDAD Adorage transitions have not worked properly. If you take a look at the attached photo, this shows the issue but I have no idea how to fix this and hoped someone here could help. PLEASE HELP.

Just tried that option and it appears to work ok for me.

Do you have the same problems using 2019
I assume your Windows are in English

You should try re-installing the full Bonus Features, locate the folder in your VS2020 downloads
Double click the "setup_Bonus.exe" file to install the package

Don't see any Chinese in an English language installation of VS w/Adorage. Is it possible that you're running cracked versions of VS downloaded from a Chinese filesharing site (see https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?f ... it=chinese)? I'd suggest that you run AV against your system, uninstall VS, and then reinstall VS from a Corel site.

Finally, you ought to update your profile to list what versions of VS you're running.

I had the same issue when moving to VS from Pinnacle. I had purchased the extra effects from PRODAD so I contacted them and they sent me a service file. Everything ok now. If you have an account with ProDad you could try that.

Hey,

I have tried what Lata has suggested. Along with reaching out to Corel and the issues still persists.... Im not technical and Corel will not do a remote session to actually see what the issue is. I feel stuck having paid to upgrade and the issues are still there. It is soooo frustrating and probably a minor easy issue to fix, but when you just don't understand these things, its even harder to explain.

Sorry for a rant, im just **** off as I can fix this on my own.

Do you have a problem with Adorage using 2019 or is it just 2020
Have you purchased any prodad plugins or did all your prodad part of video studio .
Do you install Video Studio to its default location on the C drive.
Can I suggest that you uninstall both Video Studio 2019 and 2020
For 2019 you can use the Cleanup tool, then view Program and Features checking for Prodad stuff and uninstall.
If you need both versions then first install 2019, test that to see how it performs

Now install 2020

Hey everyone,

On the advice from this forum, I reached out to Prodad who sent me the below instructions. In essence, it was a service pack and once installed, everything worked how it should. I also want to say a personal thanks to Trevor for his help and support. This will sound pathetic, but I honestly wanted to lose my **** and break stuff lol.

Please use this last setup for volume 9 of Adorage:



Please make the following:

- Deinstall Adorage (about Start/programs/proDAD Adorage Deinstall)

- Remove Adorage folder (c:\Programs\proDAD...)

- Reboot your system

- Download and install Adorage Volume 9 as administrator now

I didn't think I shared this problem, but I just opened VS 2020 and found that about half the transition from about halfway down the list show the Chinese screen. I hadn't noticed before since I had only tried a couple of the transitions at the top of the list which work fine.

So now I'll try the solution provided by proDAD...

EDIT: The only problem with that is that when I got to Programs & Features in Control Panel, there is no entry for Adorage either under P for proDAD or A for Adorage. All the other proDAD programs I have are there, just not Adorage!

However, looking in C:\Progam Files\proDAD\Adorage 3.0 I found an Uninstall.exe which I used. And it seemed to work...

OK I've done all that but I get the same Chinese in parts of it, and I think I know why. We are supposed to only have only Volume 9 of the transitions. We are not meant to have Volume 13, and it is in Volume 13 that the Chinese entries hang out.

There are some curious exceptions there, namely Volume 13 > Universal Transitions > Light, though not Light > Transitions. Volume 13 > Particles > 01 also seems to work, though all the rest are Chinese. Volume 13 > Rings 01, 02 and 04; > Books 01 - 03; > Flowers 01 - 02; > Balloons 01 - 04; Gifts 01 - 02 and 11.

Volume 2 is patchy. Alpha-FX work but Atmosphere does not. And the same mixed result for the rest of Volume 2. And only some of the Starter Effects work.

In other words, it is much the same as it was before removing Adorage and reinstalling the proDAD package they sent.

But all of Volume 9 seems to work -- though it all worked for me before...

I have looked at those Adorage options and I do have both Volume 9 and Volume 13 I do not have any that show the Chinese writing
If Volume 13 was installed with an earlier version of Video Studio, uninstalling that version may affect the remaining programs, just thinking out loud
I wonder where Volume 13 came from?

Don’t think it is a Video Studio version issue.
Interestingly if you change the download link from vol9 to vol13, that download is also available.

And I notice from Del’s image he was using Volume 9

Well yes, Volume 9 is what is supposed to be downloaded. As I said above, I uninstalled Adorage -- everything that was in the Adorage folder under Program Files went, and the the folder itself. Then I rebooted and reinstalled from the links above provided by proDAD, and what I got was exactly the same as what was installed originally via VS... That included everything including Volume 13 etc. They had all gone once I had initially uninstalled and there was no other Adorage on the computer...

On the Win 7 desktop,

VS 2019 Ult and VS 2020 Ult. Adorage appears to have a full Volume 9 and Volume 13 content

On the Win 10 Laptop

VS 2020 Adorage appears to have a full Vol 13, but for Vol 9, there are only 5 free sample Fx in the Starter Pack. VS 2019 is not installed on the laptop

So does that indicate that Vol 9 only shows in VS 2020 if VS 2019 is installed
