File mismatch message

Post by budbon »

When I attempt o open a .VSP file in Video Studio Pro X9, I get the the message "Unable to open file ...file format mismatch." I'm sure I created this file with X9. Help Sometimes it closes Video Studio Pro.

Not much to go on as it could be due to a host of reasons, e.g. a mismatch between the Project Properties and the properties of the source clips. In any event, I suggest that you peruse the numerous posting on this forum about file format mismatch (https://forum.corel.com/search.php?keyw ... t+mismatch) and see what applies to your situation.

Hi
How are you trying to open the VSP?
First run X9, then go to File – Open and browse for the VSP file.

You say you are sure the VSP was created with X9, what other versions could you have used?
Even so the error message does not normally show just because a VSP is made with another newer version.

There was a fix provided for CVS 2019, I doubt that will fix things for X9, worth a try I suppose.

Can you zip and attach your VSP to your post, we can try opening with later versions.
