x6 64bit cannot find scanner

Post by miltk »

as per recommendation both the 32bit and 64bit x6 are installed.

the 32bit acquires the scanner twain no problem
however the 64bit version "cannot find scanner". the latest driver for the scanner (epson et2720 all in one) is installed. it is compatible with both windows7 32bit and 64bit

any help? thx

Have you installed the version from 12/12/19 (ET2720_X64_26001_NA.exe) ?

i'm hoping there's an overlooked tweak in psp because i don't think this is an epson problem. ultimately not any real big deal because i can use the 32bit psp

FWIW I have a big color Brother laser multifunction centre which does my scans. It's driver is also supposed to be 64 bit. However, I have never been able to get TWAIN Acquire in 64 bit on it to work. I haven't worried about it too much since I can always use the 32 bit version of PSP to do a TWAIN scan or use the Import > From Scanner or Camera function in the 64 bit version. That gives me a simpler interface than I get with TWAIN, but it still gives me what I want...
