Paint Shop Pro 2020 on Linux with Wine

Post by Arnaudk »

Hi !

I got a copy of Corel Paint Shop Pro along with another purchased product. Unfortunately Paint Shop Pro only runs on Windows. I tried to use wine to install the product but the Setup.exe fails (the product does not even install).

Do you have a workaround for this ? I checked Winedb but Paint Shop Pro 2020 is new and not listed in the tested applications.

Thanks,

Regards,

AFAIK, PSP has been a Windows-only product sine its inception as shareware in the early 1990's.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Hi !

Unfortunately I don't have Windows license, I think this is the only legal way to use Windows through a Virtual Machine.

If you don't have a valid key, you can still use Windows 10 for free on your PC even if you don’t activate the OS.
I have colleagues who have used non-activated versions of Windows for years without Microsoft ever shutting it down.
