Sharpening Issues

Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to AfterShot Pro 3 so I apologize if this is well known issue with an easy fix.

When I'm editing a photo and I create a layer, I notice the sharpening feature does not work for that layer, even when I have the box next to "Sharpening" checked and move around the "Sensitivity" slider. All the other adjustments work, however. And I am able to sharpen the entire photo (i.e. the main layer). I just can't sharpen the parts of the photo I want to. Can you please help me work through this?

Tried it, tested it and agree it does not work. Wavelet Sharpen does work though.
Turning on the clipping warning (bottom right triangle) shows the sharpening in action. Nothing in layer adjustment mode.
Aftershot team (if you still exist) this needs addressing.

Thanks, Bobby55! I installed the Wavelet Sharpen Plug-in and it seems to get the job done. I greatly appreciate the advice. I'm glad I came here, because the folks at Corel haven't been much help.
