Failure to delete section from video

Post by mrsmac »

I am new to using VideoFactory - I have successfully captured some video, trimmed it at both ends, but have totally failed to remove a few "glitchy" frames in the middle of the video. Any suggestions would be welcome - I've been battling with this problem all week, and am no nearer to resolution! :(

Cheers

Are you using the Multi-Trim feature?

Whatever you are doing in "Multi-trim" you should see the Video sections on the timeline that you want to "KEEP".
Make sure to click on "OK" after multi-trimming and then Save the project.
While on the timeline make sure the video you trimmed out isn't showing up. The timeline should show only the "Multi-Trimmed" video the way you want it.

Hope this helps,

I had LOTS of problems with this - so I will just confirm with you - "OK" is on the Multi trim screen? And "Save project" is "Save as" from the "Add/Edit Media" screen, "Settings and Options" at the bottom left of the screen?

The Timeline you talk about - which screen?

I managed to complete the project last night - by going straight through to "Burn" - but wasn't sure of what I had done, nor was able to check that what I had was what I wanted!

Thanks for you help and patience! :?

The "SE" means "Special Edition" so your program may be slightly different than the full version.
You said it worked though.

the source of the problem is with "Ulead VideoStudio 7." two bad dlls cause this. there is a FAQ and replacement dlls on the ULead site. my guess is that your MovieFactory software uses these bad dlls. Search the videostudio forum category for "Save Selection As"
