As I say, I just purchased the program.
Using it, it will lock up my pc so hard I have to hold the power button to shut the pc off. The mouse pointer stops working. Keyboard stops working. No response at all from the pc. Last night after it happened, again, I turned the monitor off to let it sit and see if it would come back to life. A while later (20 or 30 minutes, don't know), I heard a noise from the pc. Turned the monitor on, and the system was rebooting. This has been going since I installed the program 3 days ago.
It will lock if I am adding text to an image. It will lock if I am selecting an area to crop. I literally had to make a change, then save. Then make another change, save, etc, just to try to get through a project, and multiple lock ups/reboots along the way. Seriously frustrating.
My system is a brand new HP OMEN.
Windows 10 Home
3TB HARD drive
64 GB ram
NVidia RTX 2080 vid card
Very few programs installed on this machine.
Shortly after install of the program, I got a BSoD, but was too far away to see the message before the pc rebooted.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Anybody have a boat with a heavy anchor?
Edit:
Trying the program on an older pc, and it works fine. No lock ups at all. Got me scratching my head.
Just purchase PaintShop Pro 2020 Ultimate. Randomly locks up

My first guess is the graphics card/driver. Is it supported by PSP? Corel are not the best for updating software!
Also, there may be some settings in the nvidia control panel specific to applications (e.g. 3D, whether to use the GPU to run the application).

I would contact Corel Support directly.
If you have bsod screens setup to dump their information you can use a program like nirsofts bsod viewer to see what the error code was. https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
