Some video clips prove terminal to VS, so try converting this to MP4 and see what happens.Choi seong chul wrote:The AVI file closes the video studio.

I only have a 1280x720, 24fps sample AVI file. I had no issues adding a transition. Can you make your AVI file available to play with?

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Thanks for your answers.
First: If you don't apply a transition, it plays without any problems.
Second: There is no problem when converting to MPEG-4 file. However, you cannot preview.
Third: AVI 720X480 made on VS2020 has the same problem.
The problem arises when applying transition effects.
Fourth: It doesn't matter what files are not compressed.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
I have a Corel Video Studio from X2 to 2020.
However, Corel does not recommend installing and using multiple versions at the same time.
not. There is a possibility of collision.
So only 2020 is in use.
To fix this, I reinstalled VS2018, 2019.
In all versions, if you apply the transition effect to AVI files, the video studio is closed.
Even if you try using AVI 1280x720, the video studio closes.
I reported this to Corel and a ticket was formed (Ticket (6020396))
Corel still doesn't send an answer.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Hi
Hopefully Corel Support will be able to help you with this problem
I did create a few AVI files to test this and did not have any crashes
Using Microsoft AVI files compressed using the standard profile ( DV-AVI) had no issues at all
I then created a profile with NO compression and 15fps, the profile used an audio stream.
Those caused some issues with playback especially over the transitions which just did not play correctly.
I noted that Show Messages did attempt to set the project properties to match 15fps, the timelines used 30fps
Uncompressed AVI at 15fps caused problems that would stop me editing, Compressed AVI had no issues
The program did not crash throughout any tests.
I was using CVS 2018

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
The cause is a bug in AVI file DV video encoder type 2.
DV video encoder — does not occur in Type 1.
The problem is Corel Motion Studio 3D, 32 bit transparent background or 24 bit. Motion Studio 3D
AVI DV Video Encoder All — Made with Type 2 only.
Corel Motion Studio 3D,
Type 1 cannot produce AVI DV video encoder.
Therefore, transition effects are not available in video studios.
I think you should update your video studio.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Hi
I am confused
The original post referred to uncompressed AVI, and now you bring MS3D into the discussion
Are you saying that the video files you are using have been created by MS3D
If so then it may have been best to mention that in your first post.
If Type 1 Avi works without problems then why don’t you simply use that.
You should remember that MS3D was produced for standard definition video, so pushing the sizes to HD 1920 x 1080 and above may not work as well as you would wish them to do.
What options are you selecting to export from MS3D?
Have you tried exporting using UIS files?
And I do not have a problem with AVI crashing my program so why should I have to update, you sound like Corel Support chasing sales.
Besides I do have the latest version, just that I used 2018 to test
I will test using CVS2020

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Hi
I did have a lot of problems using the AVI with 15fps, using 30fps seemed to work much better
Reducing the frame size to 1280 x 720 also improved things
Using AVI uncompressed created very large files 100Mb per second, that’s a big file
Microsoft AVI files
32 bits, 1280 x 720, 30 fps
Frame-based
Uncompressed
No Audio
I have attached a MS3D file, just a sample from the gallery which should open in MS3D
I also used the UIS option which worked well, at 30Mb was much more acceptable size, using BMP size increased to 200Mb

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Thank you, lata. Using the uploaded projector sample
I made a file. I tried with the attached photo
The problem happens the same.
The problem is that I can't make AVI DV Video Encoder All — Made with Type1.
There's someone who said earlier that it's confusing.
To put it simply, the video studio.
AVI DV Video Encoder All — When the transition effect is applied in the Made with Type2.
There's a bug.
Motion3D mentioned in the program is Type2. Applications that only send in format
I meant there was. You can make Type2.type in a video studio.
I'm saying that it's not compatible.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
I really don't think MS3D is making Type 2 DV/AVI; indeed not making DV/AVI at all. DV/AVI is a compressed form of AVI, though still large, running at around 13 GB for one hour of video. What MS3D is creating is true uncompressed AVI.
I have not used MS3D for 2 or 3 years, though used to like it a lot. But that means I have not tested it with at least 3 versions of Video Studio, so can't comment further. In fact I don't have it installed on my main computer any longer... However, I can remember very well the absolutely huge AVI files it produced, often near 1 GB for a 10 or 12 second title... I also used to use DV/AVI cameras for a long time, and so know the difference between DV/AVI and true uncompressed AVI.
I also used to start all my videos with a few seconds of black matte followed by a crossfade transition between the black matte and the MS3D AVI title. So those versions obviously worked well. But as I said, I have not tested it with more recent versions of Video Studio.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
Thank you. Ken Berry.
So far, I am using Motion3D. But
I didn't think there was a problem.
By the way, the transition effect of the video produced by Motion3D allows you to watch a variety of interesting videos.
I knew I could do it.
But there is a problem. Occurred. Type2and Type1 are not marked in Motion3D video properties. It is just displayed as AVI. Directly from the video studio to find the cause
Two AVIs, Type2 and Type1, were created and tested.
I found out that the same problem occurs in Type2.
Now, the video produced by Motion3D from the video studio to the MOV alpha channel
Render and apply transition effects. It's cumbersome.

Re: The AVI file closes the video studio.
But as I said the video which comes out of MS3D is NOT Type 1 or Type 2 for the simple reason that it is NOT DV/AVI. The video that comes from MS3D is "true" uncompressed video which has no type apart from not being compressed... Yes, if you are producing AVI in Video Studio, there are options to choose DV/AVI and either Type 1 or Type 2. AVI is really no more than a wrapper format and there are many types of video, from very small size to huge size, including DV/AVI. But as I say, that is not what comes out of MS3D...
