Adi not a very useful reply
Hi Chaofei
For me the most posts we seem to get are related to nonstandard video files, files downloaded from the internet
Video recorded using a I-phone that could use a variable frame rate, I believe I-Phone video were destined to be shared over the media and not particularly edited.
Video codecs, there are hundreds of variations, all video programs playing catch up with the newer formats.
Using standard video recorded with a camera that was designed for the job is the better option
And of course we can blame the pc, why not, but then a slow pc should slow the editing process and not crash the program. The later video HD versions (H265) and 4K sizes do take their toll on the pc, so a decent machine is required, and with the changing technology I don’t know what decent is anymore. Just the best your purse can stretch to.
If you have a particular problem with Video Studio, start a new post and tell us about it.

What are the stability issues that you're experiencing? Unless you tell us, it's hard to say much of import.Chaofei wrote:Sharing/listing your experiences for making CVS more stable
This would affect all your use of your PC not just VS. Try running "chkdsk /R" to try and repair corruption.Chaofei wrote:1. Faulty/corrupt hdd
This just makes VS lethargic not crash prone.Chaofei wrote:2. Insufficient system hardware juice.

Re: Sharing/listing your experiences for making CVS more sta
Just my two penny worth. On installing CVS allow it to place its files where ever it wants to. When up and running only ask it to do one thing at a time. If that little small "busy" circle is showing wait until it stops before another order is issued. Dont push CVS. The more that you rush it, the more freezes and problems you will get.
