Help on an OLD Pinnacle Product

Post by rpmelvin »

Many years ago I used a video editing program called Pinnacle ReelTime. It was a great NLE program for its time. It ran on a Windows NT box.

The ReelTime program included a character generator called TypeDeko. I still have the TypeDeko install discs (on floppy discs!). I have two questions.

1) Is there a way to install TypeDeko on a Windows 7 Pro machine?

2) Is there a utility that can open TypeDeko files (a .dko extention) so they could be converted to a usable format such as tif, tga or psd.

I understand that I'm reaching WAY back into the days before the Pinnacle/Corel merger. I'm hoping that there might be some Pinnacle users here who recall this old CG program and may be able to help me. Believe it or not, I have a very old project that I have to re-edit for a client that used a lot of Deko graphics. I have the Deko files, but cannot open them.

I will keep my fingers crossed!

The Pinnacle range of products is not covered here. You may have better luck if you went to the Pinnacle community and asked there. That forum is quite separate from this one so you will need to register again. http://forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/242/ShowForum.aspx
