Blank preview
Disappearing Video clip. Moved the preview clip to second monitor for full screen viewing. When I moved it back to default layout the clip was blank although when played the audio was there. Tried a number of things without success. As with most things, I am sure there is a simple solution. Appreciate any suggestions.

Re: Blank preview
weird.
But some basic things to review . .
- you are using 2 monitors. Have you ensured that the windows control panel display page reflects that?
- Video studio allows you to customise the workspace layout: settings/preferences/UI layout which shows a default page and allows 3 custom variations. Each of the main sections of the workspace (the preview window, library/gallery, and the timeline) are "undockable" and can be moved/re-sized to suit your preference: eg, the preview window in one section say left hand, and the other 2 on the right. Adjust so that the preview is on one monitor and the other two sections on the 2nd monitor. Save the resulting layout as a named variant eg custom 1. Switch between the default and custom layout using settings/layout settings/switch to/and choose the layout you want: default or custom. See the 2020 user guide "customising the workspace" page 28.
A number of subscribers to the forum have reported using this sort of configuration; perhaps they can be of more assistance.
