Pinnacle Studio 23 Ultimate Crashing

Pinnacle Studio 23 Ultimate version 23.2.1.297
New User but certainly not new to computers or editing. While attempting to import a voice-over a few days ago I tried dropping the file onto the timeline..... the program crashed. Rebooted laptop - ran program and it stalled during the loading process at "init database" .Uninstalled then reinstalled several times, no improvement. Rebooted and tried a "Repair" - no change. On start fails to get past "init database" before disappearing from the screen in a huff!

Running Windows 10 Home on an Acer Aspire 5, 515-54-5725 16Gb Ram - any suggestions?
