Re Registering Product

Hey guys

I bought Corel VideoStudio 2019 for a project and had to re format my computer. The license is locked into my old system, and I need it reactivated. Ive tried going through customer service and have been dealing with that for about a month to no avail. Ive read that Corel themselves has to deregister their old licenses on their end, yet these customer service agents keep telling me otherwise. Nothing they tell me to do works, so now im wondering what yall think.

Ive tried calling as well, but their phone lines are shut down due to COVID.

This was the last bit of advice I recieved from them:

1) Open the run box via Win key + R
2) type appwiz.cpl
3) Uninstall C++ 2012 --32 and 64 bits
4) Open Regedit
5) Highlight Computer
6) Press F3
7) Enter ca67548
Search for and remove the entries relating to Package Cache (both 32 and 64 bit entries -- the search will find the 64 bit, and the 32 will be immediately above it) Press F3 to search for any potential other entries. There will be some you cannot remove. When you have found those close the registry.
9) Reboot
10) Delete the software from the control panel
11) Check for Windows Updates
12)verify GPU drivers -- update if needed
13) Create Full Clean boot
14) Reboot
15) Disable antivirus and firewall of your system.
16) Download fresh installer VS 2019c

I have removed the details of your serial number, not a good idea to show that on the open forums.
What have you tried in an attempt to install the program
Have you downloaded the installation files, I assume no
Do you have the Web Installer aka Stub called VideoStudio_Install.exe, the 2019 version is 7,042 Kb

Running that should allow you to enter your registration details, a panel showing your details should show but when installing on another pc may have the details removed
You should try to enter the e-mail address used to register the original program
That should then allow you to download the installation files.

Let us know what you have actually tried.

I have run the installation files and it allows me to get as far as the e mail prompt screen. There are two e mail boxes- the top one is already filled in, and a prompt on that screen says I cant go any further because the license is registered to another system. It doesnt matter what I put in the second box- it refuses to let me go further.

First the EULA only allows us to install Video Studio 2019 on one computer, except where that computer is faulty, we can then install on another replacement Computer.
The error window you are seeing is a warning to that policy.

The top Email address has some strange characters but ticked as correct, as far as I know that is the original address in code
We have to enter the same address in the “Please enter full email address” panel
This email will be the one used for your Corel registered products, if a match is made you will be able to continue.

Go to the Corel web site and sign-in to your account
https://www.corel.com/en/support/
You should have an account setup when purchasing CVS2019 or indeed any other earlier program.

Once Signed_In you can access your Registered Products which list your programs along with the Serial Numbers.
Make sure you are using the correct serial number.
Now use the same email address to run Video Studio Stub.

If you cannot Sign_In then you need to contact Corel Support again and explain that you have forgotten the Account / registration e-mail.

You could try creating a new account, then register CVS2019, but if the first account has been created could cause further conflicts.
