Still a prob in 2020?
Have uninstalled, cleaned with corel clean, reinstalled. . But same end result

Any other solutions?

Welcome to the forum!

If by "32v" you mean you chose the 32 bit version of PSP, then Pic-to-Painting will not install in the 32 bit version as it is a 64 bit program. That's one of the reasons when installing PSP that you are recommended to install both 32 and 64 bit versions. A lot of users have collections of "old" but still very effective plug-ins which will only work with 32 bit, but P-2-P is not one of them. Like a lot of more modern plug-ins, it will only work in the 64 bit version of PSP.

If I have misunderstood your problem, there is an extremely long thread about Pic-to-Painting which may address your problem: https://forum.corel.com/viewtopic.php?p=360487#p360487

Thanks for info Ken
Initially tried in 64 bit. . Got the error. . Searched these boards and found the method said above. . It was said to resolve it for the poster (post was in 2018). . Will repeat and go for the 64 bit.
Link is helpful, thanks, will read more whilst having another go
Cheers for now

Is the EN folder permissions correct as is. . . or does it need permission to write (tick the write box)?

Read & execute = ticked
List folder content = ticked
Read = ticked
Write = not ticked

(the error is for \Plugins\EN folder)

Cheers

Pic-to-Paint installs an app in Windows as well as the plug-in.
I had trouble intalling Pic-to-Paint (V2 - 64 bit) last year when I upgraded to PSP2020. The install was giving an unhelpful error message part way through. Corel support was equally unhelpful (usual advice of uninstall PSP, clean, reinstall).
In the end I found that the old version of Pic-to-Paint (v1 = 32 bit) was the problem. I had to uninstall it via the Windows Apps & Features control . Then the install of Pic-to-Paint V2 worked fine - it required Administrator permissions to install.
If you haven't had Pic-to-Paint before this is probably irrelevant but a failed install may have left a shadow behind so it's worth checking in the list of Apps.

Thanks for info Andy. . .
I have just downloaded another plugin (from AKVIS). . . it is 64-bit and came wrapped in InstallShield Wizard (same as PSP pic-in-painting). . . it downloaded and installed just fine 8)

Soooo
:?: PSP method and/or info, seems suspect
:?: Anyone know, where the previous versions are to be found. . so be to downloaded
:?: Or a direct download page for the latest 64-bit (so i can chose my own download folder and do the file allocation myself)

what an aweful experience :shock:

I suspect Corel control access to Pic-to-Paintig to try and prevent illicit copying. The flaky installer means getting help from Corel's Support Desk (an oxymoron in my experience).

Yep, I kinda understand the protection of the download apage. . . even like the idea that one reaches it through a licenced product menu. . .

Just the installer prog seems utter rubbish (over controlling where the files will be sent etc)

Think I'll just cancel this PSP update n plugin route. . .
Needed a pic to painting software ability for a small project. . . not an epic saga of wierd "get it to load" puzzles

I've now sourced some other stand alone programs to do the job. . . loaded them. . and done the job!! 8)
Heyho
thanks again for time and thoughts to consider.
