Buggy window problem with VS7 on XP

Post by smind »

Running XP Pro and the VS7 that was bundled with my Fisher FVD-C1. The program installs ok, but when run the top half-inch or so of the window is cut off. It's just missing. The window has no title bar, and no top menu. I can drag video to the timeline and it plays, but I really can't do much else with the software without any menus. I have tried updating to 7.0.1 with no change.

Anyone seen this? Is there a fix?

What is the screen resolution of your monitor? I can't recall the exact figures, but Video Studio has a minimum resolution requirement to work and appear properly.

Thanks for the reply. I'm running at 1600 x 1200.

Well I figured it out. My taskbar is along the top, and I guess the software doesn't handle that well. If I put the taskbar at the bottom, the program opens ok.

i can't get VS7 SE to completely render video of any length to DVD... could it be a memory problem?
