Hi all,
I have a 360* round image - looking flat/straight on. I want one edge of the image (using a coin image here for an example) very slightly turned away. I don't need coin thickness, just the perspective for my flat image. Which tool do I use to accomplish this?
I've been through the Help section for Perspective. I am not sure if I need Skew, Horizontal, or Vertical -or whether I am trying to use the wrong tool altogether. I also tried Warp and Deform but they make a mess. Pick tool seems to be close but I can't get the ever so slight 3-D depth. Once I know which tool to use I can play around with it to see what looks best. Problem is knowing where to start.
Thank you for any guidance offered!

First of all note that you cannot automatically create what you cannot see in the first place in the image. For example a coin photographed flat on will not show the milled edges, nor the handle if it was a coin stamp as they would be hidden.
Now you can try Perspective using the pick tool but that is best for making say a large 2D image on a wall look like the room has depth and as if you are looking along the wall and picture.
You can get a semblance of a 3d image from the flat 2D coin by using a 3D Effect
Effect >3D effect > Inner Bevel and play around with - Depth and Width.
The 3D effect is then created by a lighter area along one edge and a darker edge on the opposite edge.
You can then use the Pick tool and holding down the Control key to change the Perspective of the shadow side to make it smaller and then make the lighter edge larger

Re: Do I Use Perspective? Deform? Pick?
@hartpaul, your suggestion is appreciated. The Inner Bevel seems to give too much thickness to the edge of my circle. The circle I'm using has no thickness as if just the face of the coin, or a sticker, so I don't need any shadows. When I tried the pick tool, I was able to get the slight oval but turning it at the angle of the coin was the problem. I'm going to practice with that some more. Thank you for confirming that I can use the Pick Tool for perspective.
