I HAD VS2018 COREL OFFERING ME VSX9...
SO, I cleared out my PC and as a result 'lost' various programmes such as videostudio/my printer details etc...no worries.
I emailed Corel - and asked them to kindly let me download VS2018. ( have had to do this a few times in past my own fault ). So, they kindly replied back no problem and gave me code etc for VSX9.
SO - my question to you experts out there...is VSX9 the buggy VS2019? - just...I tried that a while back and it was..well..buggy….and no intention of buying 2020 for top price just yet.
SO...shall I go back to them and ask for 2018...or stick with x9 version?
( I did once upon a time pay for bluray feature £8 I think to be added..never was....haven't checked..but would like to get this installed...is it on any versions? )

I have no idea why they did that. And no, X9 is definitely not VS 2019. It is several years old. The sequence was X9, X10, 2018, 2019, 2020... So keep on asking for 2018, though as far as I am aware, Corel will not just give it to you... Mind you, why they gave you X9 remains a mystery...

Ok thanks Ken. I will go back to them. They are not just giving me copy though - just re-instating my 2018 version ..that's the problem with not physical copies nowadays all downloadable...so if PC changes/updates and removes some of my programs then your stuck! I have asked them in the past and no problem...I note they were very quick! in sending me another email setting up a 'basket' with £69 version of paintshop..will ignore that one.

But surely you do what most -- well, a lot -- of us do and make a copy of all new downloaded program installation files on an external hard disk, so they are always there...>

nope not me.
As mentioned at least once before had to ask for code and no problem. So I have asked again.
On another note..bluray function.....is there any? I recall paying £8 extra for an add-on...never really worked.

But surely saving your installation files on an external hard drive would save you having to ask...?
Anyway, yes there is still a Blu-Ray driver which you have to pay for. Though if you bought it from Corel before, then under Help there are words to the effect "Restore previous purchase". I guess they no longer provide it built into VS since not many people these days are making Blu-Ray disks. It is even difficult in many countries to find blank BD disks...

Hello Ken. I may be just a little bit off subject but can you tell me if it is possible to burn a dvd with the programmes that are downloaded from Corel such as VS2019 or perhaps one of the older programes like vsx10.

Hi
Your serial number for all your Corel Products should be here,
https://idp.corel.com/idp/Authn/UserPassword
The 2018 program uses a web installer file aka Stub
Think of it as a download installation manager
Called VideoStudio2018_Installer.exe or VideoStudio_Install.exe at 10,960Kb at least that is what I have.
Do a search of your pc for that file and your serial number
Using the stub you should then be able to download the program again + serial number
There is also a Trial version of the Stub, so if you have that, will also download the program providing you have a serial number
Your serial number should start with VU21R22 - *****-*****-*****
21 indicating CVS 2018.

gandalftheg -- yes, it is certainly possible to burn DVDs with the existing software, with no need to buy anything extra. The question that was asked related to Blu-Ray discs, and to get the burner for that, you have to pay... though it is only around $8 or $9 dollars...
