Hello!
I've been using Corel Video Studio for many years and suffering from a disadvantage ever since: The high resolution digital photos (e.g. with 40 mega pixel) are not as sharp as the video files after rendering.
Such an effect is so annoying that I sometimes had to create a 4K video file with those photos by using Proshow Producer first and then imported them in Videostudio.
Does anyone know a solution?
Best regards,
Yang

Re: Blurred videos by inserting digital photos
Hi
This has been a problem for Video Studio for as long as I can remember
I assume your project properties are set to 4K standards
The program displays the images using the Project Properties resolution, any images larger will be stripped of there pixels and result in a reduced quality.
Typically 4K would use a 3840 x 2160 resolution, your images should be similar
If you re-size the images to use the same resolution as the project properties then they should look ok as the images will / should be displayed in their full glory
As you have found using other programs (Proshow Producer) to render the images to video works, as does tletters links to a program called OpenShot.

It looks like there's no "native solution" within VS for this old problem.

I'll test it later.
However, normally I would like to create a zooming effect e.g. by using a 24K digital photo for a 4K export that should be sharp enough by 200% zoom-in. If the digital photo has been rezised down to 4K at the beginning, the zoom-in frame wouldn't remain sharp for a 4K export, right?

A direct comparison between the VS 2020 hd-export (1920x1080) and the Proshow hd-export:

http://yfang.com/tmp/VS-2020-image-vide ... roshow.mp4
A direct comparison between the screenshots from VS 2020 hd-export the Proshow hd-export:

http://yfang.com/tmp/VS-2020-image-vide ... show-2.jpg
http://yfang.com/tmp/VS-2020-image-vide ... show-3.jpg
The sharpness difference is easily visible. Therefore for the important films I have to render the image videos via Proshow first.
