Is there an option to choose straight line or freehand after selecting a brush in Painting Creator( VS 2018) if so where is it

In this version of VS (2018), regardless of the brush selection, everything is "freehand". You can take all the time you like to record a paint (from record on to record off), change the duration of the paint from the default, change the spot size etc but a line drawing tool is not included.
Generally used for marking up images like maps (eg, by voiceover: today, we drove from a to B via the old road, and at the same time paint the route taken on the map).
There's an updated version of Paint Creator in VS 2020, able to use 4K images, but there have been some problems reported with it.
