But also Jean-Luc who solved it for you in his second post where he showed the get more screen with the Creative Content pack and had arrows pointing to it.
Apparently you overlooked that post.

Hello,

I'm going through my own version of the missing pre set shapes adventure this thread describes but with PSP 2021. Downloading the Creative Content that is available with PSP 2021 did not provide the particular shape I'm looking for. Specifically Rectangle identified as corel_11_073.

I have a script that I've been using for years now that specifically uses that shape. I recently lost my system and the restore didn't include the directory that stored this file.

Does anyone have it and would be willing to send me a copy?

I went through tech support and they tell me Corel no longer supports some of these older files.

When I did a search for the file it seems to be associated with my PSP X. Attached.

I'm simply curious as to why Corel would say that it no longer supports these older files. What would be the reason for not including shapes from previous versions in their newer PSP versions? And while Corel (the company) might not support the older files, PSP (the program) certainly does because my PSP 2019 uses that shape from a much older version.

I checked my preset shapes showing up in PSP2019 and do have a rectangle shape actually called Rectangle and found the file in a folder I have where I have a bunch of sub-folders where I have saved various content from much older versions of PSP. Looking in that folder the shape file is actually called Rectangle.pspshape, not the non-descriptive numbers that Corel in its wisdom decided to go with. The date of that file is August 16, 2004, so the shape goes back to at least whatever version of PSP was released then and, of course, works in all newer versions. I also have a Rounded Rectangle in that folder too.
Regards,

JoeB

Oh yeah PSP itself supports most of its own files all the way back to PSP5. PSPShapes, along with almost all PSP file formats, are just regular PSPImage files with a different extension. That shape provided by Kathy_9 is made for PSP 9 which was released in 2004.

It's a 98x98 pixel image with a vector path that's 96x96. Straight edges, not rounded. Whatever script was being used could be udpated to either use the Rectangle tool or the pen tool without using the preset shape file so it's not reliant on external resources.

Thank-you for the file! Exactly what I was missing.

This is what I got back from support after asking them to escalate the issue:

Regarding your query, I have checked with my next level team, they also told that we do not have support for older versions software creative content preset shapes. Thank you, again, for your time and consideration in this matter.
In light of your recent acknowledgment and communication, your support ticket will now be closed.

The script I've used for years now is identified as:

'Author': u'SuzShook',
'Copyright': u'2007 SuzShook',
'Description': u'Adds caption on bottom of image - batch mode',

The rectangle pre-set shape is used to create a white background behind the caption, but the caption is on top of the bottom of the image rather then being appended to the bottom of the image (would be loss-less then).

Has anyone come across a script that extends the size of the original image to accommodate a caption placed over that extended area? I think that would also remove the need for the rectangle shape and keep the image complete too.

I can find that script on the web archive later tonight when I have time, I'll give it a look over. Since she's creating a caption of a set size changing it to use Canvas Size to create the area should be very simple.
