I'm thinking of upgrading from PSP2019 Ultimate to PSP 2020 Ultimate but don't want to have to re-specify where all my tubes etc are (or re-install them). Will the upgrade pick these up from the existing install?
And a supplementary, but related question - should I uninstall PSP 2019 first, then install the PSP2020 upgrade, or install "over it"?
Thanks in advance!

1) You can import content from previous versions of PSP. This will do two things, 1 it will set up all of the folder locations to point to every Default folder location of any installed version of PSP. and 2) It'll copy some files around. I don't know exactly what it copies where but the copy dialog did pop up while it was working. And I didn't think to pause it to register what files were being copied.
I don't know if this will include tubes installed via EXE as I have never installed those.
Under the file menu go to File -> Import -> Content from previous versions.
If it's just setting the file locations then those file locations will have to continue to exist for those tubes to be usable.
2) It is not necessary to uninstall a previous version of PSP. They work independently of each other. Only uninstall if you don't want multiple copies of PSP and if it won't delete any of the folders you imported.

Thank you LeviFiction for this info. I'm gong to install PSPS2020, import from previous versions, make sure I@m happy & it's stable, then uninstall PSP2019, as I'm not a fan of having multiple copies of an app on one pc.

So far so good. Purchased, all installed, all working fine. I'll leave for a couple of weeks, create a restore point and and try an uninst of PSP 2019.Killer133 wrote:Thank you LeviFiction for this info.
