Facebook audio choppy in VS 2020

Post by edren »

downloaded a facebook video from a previous live stream, using VLC and played the video with no problem.

However when i preview using VS, there is no audio or its just choppy sounds but the video playback is fine.

i have no problem editing with other videos from other sources but fb video are total no audio at all..

any guru has any solution or am i missing something?

thank you in advance.

If the audio is using Dolby 5.1, that may be the problem. Corel for some unknown reason has stopped supporting that, athough for Win 10 users, Dolby 2 channel stereo is still OK. But I would have thought any 5.1 audio would have been down converted to dual channel stereo, rather than playing it in bits and pieces.
